A pair of coal tits and blue tits in the hawthorn hedge (March)
A pair of goldfinches collecting wool from brambles (5 April)
Bumblebee searching the ground (26 April)
Small Copper
Marbled White butterfly (6 July)
House Martins (25+) (20 July)

On 1st May 2012 we found Orange Tip eggs on Lady's Smock and Red Admiral Caterpillars.  We saw Orange Tip butterflies on the wing.  This caterpillar is a Drinker Moth.




During the Big Butterfly Count (late July-early August 2012) we identified the following butterflies in the wild area of Winkleigh Playing Fields:
